The Indy International Wine Competition, held every year at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, is now the largest wine comepetiton in the United States. This year, Chateau Thomas won more medals than any winery!

LT. GOVERNOR BECKY SKILLMAN VISITS CHATEAU THOMAS

Lt. Governor Becky Skillman delivered the keynote speech at the annual gathering of the American Lung Association. Her address was on the subject of "Alternative Fuels" and their value in the future of our country, as well as Indiana, as a valuable source of grain for the new "85" fuel. Also at the meeting, Dr. Charles R. Thomas delivered an informative talk on "How to Order Wine in a Restaurant". This was the second year in a row that the American Lung Association has held their annual meeting at Chateau Thomas Winery.

Chateau Thomas Winery at the Indianapolis 500

Chateau Thomas was well represented at the 90th running of the Indianapolis 500 this May. Drivers Roger Yasukawa and Jaques Lazier, placed 16th and 17th respectively.

Chateau Thomas Winery Wins Best of Show at the Indiana Wine Fair

Chateau Thomas Winery took home three awards on April 27, 2006 from the Indiana Wine Fair held at the Story Inn in Brown County. The judges tasted 62 submittals of the best wines from Indiana's 36 wineries. The Indiana Wine Fair is one of the state's premier wine events, hosted each year by Story Inn. "Chateau Thomas once again outshone the competition, taking three of seven possible categories. "Although the Sweet Aubergine took 'Best of Show', it is noteworthy that the Yakima Riesling won its category by more points than any other wine. Nothing came close in that category" reports the Story Inn's wine expert, Dr. Allen Dale Olson a/k/a the Pontiff of Palate, who tallied the scores."
